3 Signs It’s Time to Call for Air Conditioner Repair ASAP
Thursday, June 16, 2016
Air Conditioner Repair

Safety and prevention are keys for helping to keep your house running right without issues or catastrophes. But what if your air conditioner isn’t running right? How long can you ignore it?

Here are 3 signs it’s time to call for air conditioner repair ASAP:

Sign #1: It’s Not Cooling Your House

Is your house feeling a little warm? If you’re turning down the temperature on your air conditioner but the temperature inside your house is going up, it could mean you need air conditioner repair. You don’t want to wait until you have damage to your home and belongings, not to mention compromising the comfort of your family and pets from the heat.

Sign #2: Strange Noises

Are you hearing bumps in the night? Or squeaks or squeals that just aren’t normal? Your air conditioner should run without clunks and bangs if it’s running smoothly and as it should. If you’re hearing noises, it could be cause for concern and a reason to call for service.

Sign #3: Running All the Time

If it seems like your air conditioner is running all the time, which is definitely not how it’s supposed to run. When the system is unable to keep up with demand, it’s going to cycle on and off frequently or run continuously. This will crank up your utility bills and put an enormous amount of extra wear and tear on the equipment, as well as making it difficult for it to meet your cooling demands and keep you home comfortable. Call in the pros and get it fixed before a complete breakdown.

Sometimes it’s easy to tell when you need air conditioner repair, but when the signs are subtle, it can be harder to know if you can let it ride or if you need to call for service. Anytime you have concerns about any aspect of safety and prevention or questions about service and repair for your air conditioner, contact our team of HVAC experts at All City Heat and Air.

Repair technician inspected newly installed thermostat, found installation error, and repaired. He then inspected the air handler and outside compressor. Discovered freon was leaking, topped off freon to hold me over, and made recommendations for future repairs and upgrades.

Response time was great - next day service, on a Saturday. Service fee was very reasonable, and the technician was polite, professional, and informative.
