No matter where you live, you need heating and air conditioning, but you want it to be effective and efficient. If your HVAC system isn’t working up to par and needs repair, how can you tell if you have an existing warranty? Here’s what you need to know about the warranty situation.
The first step to finding out about the warranty on your heating and cooling equipment is to take a look at the label on the outside of the equipment. What you’re looking for is the manufacture date. This will give you some of the information you need to help you find out if you’re still within the warranty window.
Bryant products have great warranties to protect your products though the warranties vary by product. Did you register your product? If a Bryant heating or cooling system is registered within 90 days you can generally expect to be covered for standard parts for 10 years. If you did not register your system, it should be covered for five years for standard parts. This can vary, and you can check the warranty status on the Bryant website or by checking with your HVAC service provider.
Even with an excellent warranty, you want the equipment to last as long as possible. One of the best ways to accomplish this is with regular service and maintenance. Most maintenance plans cover twice-yearly inspection and cleaning to ensure your system is running like it should.
