There are many ways the air in a home can become overrun with pollutants. Pet dander, dust, mold, cleaning chemicals, and toxins in the external environment all contribute to unhealthy air in the home. These 3 easy tips for clean air in your home will make you breathe easier.
A stand alone, genuine HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter will filter mold spores and even bacteria and viruses. It will also filter about 99.97% of particles at .03 microns, which means really small particles. There are also single HEPA filters that can be used in an air conditioning unit. Make sure to change those filters often; doing so will also help keep the home air clean.
Cleaning products can contain harmful chemicals that contribute to unhealthy indoor air. Consider cleaning with natural products like vinegar, or seek out products that are labeled "low VOC" (volatile organic compound).
It's nice to have your dog or cat curled up with you, but keeping some areas pet free helps keep pet dander to a minimum. Consider creating a pet free zone in the bedroom and kitchen, so at least the air in those rooms will be pet dander free.To find out more or to get a free quote and second opinions on major repairs contact Charlotte N.C.'s most respected heating and cooling company, All City Heat and Air.
My gas package system died on me this past February. I contacted All City Heat and Air for an estimate. The dispatcher was very nice and promptly scheduled an estimate the same day. The installation crew that came out (the next day after I had received the estimate!) was extremely polite and made sure to thoroughly clean up after they were finished.
I am glad that I stuck with this company (my friend had referred me since she had some work done by both Jeff and Ernie) because I feel that I would have been paying a lot more for a lot less with any of the other companies.
Jeff came out after the install was complete and took the time to answer my questions about operating the new thermostat and how to change my air filters, as well as giving me information on how to maintain my unit. Overall, it was an excellent experience. I would recommend to anyone!
